Larry Joe Menser, 68, of Owensboro, KY passed away, Thursday February 14, 2019 at Wellington Parc in Owensboro. Larry was born April 12, 1950 in Caldwell County, KY to the late Elmer Menser and Margaret Cummings. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Jones.

Mr. Menser worked as a coal miner. He was a member of UMWA and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Larry is survived by his wife, Joy Snow Menser of Owensboro; his daughter, Stephanie (Patrick Thompson) Menser of Bowling Green, KY; his son, Chad (Margaret) Menser of Madisonville, KY; his sister, Judy (Loya) Wilkerson of Arkansas; and his two dogs, Jack and Lucy.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Hundley officiating. Burial will follow in Ausenbaugh Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Saturday and from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Copeland, Dennis Goodaker, DJ Oldham, Don Oldham, Keith Patrick, and Rick Leach. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Mission Guatemala at First United Methodist Church.
