Larry Laursen, age 81 of Canal Fulton, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018. He was born September 3, 1937, in Massillon the son of Frank and Alice (Rohr) Laursen. Larry retired from Republic Steel after 39 years of service.

He was a roll helper in the Enduro Division. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was a member of USW 1124, VFW Massillon and enjoyed gardening.

Larry is survived by brother, James “Jim” ( Marilyn) Laursen; nephew Christopher Laursen, several cousins and many friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home – Massillon Chapel , with Fr.

Edward Gretchko officiating. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 9 to 10 A.M. Entombment to follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 726 First St. N.E., Massillon, Ohio 44646.
