Larry Wayne Smith, 65, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully in his home, Saturday, December 22, 2018. Larry was born January 4, 1953 in Albemarle to the late Lee Jay and Sylvia Smith. He was also preceded in death by beloved son, Daniel Smith.

Larry was a dedicated and loving husband, dad and Paw Paw. He could brighten anyone’s day with his sense of humor. Larry was super kind and always willing to help anyone in need.

He loved to garden and travel. He also loved music, especially the 50’s. Larry enjoyed walking on the beach and watching the sunrise.

Survivors include loving wife of 48 years, Linda Smith of the home; daughters, Michelle Smith and husband, Bryan, of Richfield, and Kimberly Thomas and husband, Brenton, of Tulsa, OK; and grandchildren, Colby, Mason and Heidi Smith. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, 12115 University City Blvd. Memorials may be made to ALS; alsa.org/donate Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg is serving the Smith family.
