Obituary of Larry Hartman Larry Dean Hartman, 68, Marion, went to be with the Lord in his home at 6 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2018. He was born in Marion on March 7, 1950, to Clifford and Claudeene (Moore) Hartman. On Valentine’s Day in 1981, he married his sweetheart, Marsha Lynn Reed, and she survives.

Larry graduated from Marion High School and then enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he was stationed at Camp Pendleton. Following his military service, he was employed at General Motors in Marion until his retirement after 41 years. He enjoyed genealogy, fishing, golfing, and watching sports.

Most of all, Larry loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, as well as attending Bethel Worship Center, where he was a member. He is survived by his daughter, Olivia (Brad) Custer and their children, Lance, Danica, Peyton, and Lacey, Santan Valley, AZ; daughter, Tennille (Jason) Alfandre and their children, Jorden, Brady, and Riley, Hampstead, NC; sons, Ryan Dean Hartman and Justin Dean Hartman, both from Marion; great-grandson, Abel; brother, Richard (Marilyn) Moon, Grabill; and sisters, Julia (Joe) Spring, Jonesboro, Sherrill Swanson, Swayzee, Linda Zimmer, Mobile, AL, Carol (Keith) Hardin, Marion, and Bette Jarvis, Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Chad; and grandmother, Lula Mae Moore.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018, at Bethel Worship Center, 1715 E. 38th St., Marion, IN. Immediately following the time of visitation, Larry’s funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Michael Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Estates of Serenity.
