Laura M. (Mastrangelo) Wassel, 85, wife of the late Richard J. Wassel of Charlestown, died suddenly on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Phoenixville Hospital. Born on September 5, 1933 in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Kovach) Mastrangelo. She was a waitress for many years at the former Trio restaurant, was a hostess at the Kimberton Inn, and was a cafeteria worker for Phoenixville Area School district for many years.

She also spent many Sundays at the Polish Club assisting with their breakfast. She enjoyed socializing at the Polish Club and the VFW Post 1564. Surviving are 2 sons, Bernard J. Wassel of Roxborough and Bruce J. husband of Andrea Wassel of Charlestown.

Grandchildren: Bryan, Chrysa, Sara, Brandon, Ryan, and Tyler. Sister, Betty Mastrangelo of Royersford. Preceded in death by: Daughter, Linda Dippel; Brother, Frank Mastrangelo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 2340 Kimberton Road, Kimberton, PA on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:30 am with Rev. Gary Pacitti officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

A viewing will be held in Church on Friday from 9:15 am to 10:15 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Linda Dippel’s name to Susan G. Komen Cancer Research at ww5. Komen.org.
