Obituary for Laurice Nadyne Forstmann FORT WORTH – Laurice Nadyne Forstmann, born Sept. 7, 1958, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, May 6, 2018. Laurie had a big personality with a brassy wit and an untamed tongue.

She was not afraid to say what was on her mind. She also was courageous and bold, willing to fight for what she wanted, what she believed in and those whom she loved. Laurie gave birth to Micheal in 1974, who was placed for adoption by her parents.

She went on to have two beautiful daughters named Tiffany Jolie and Elisabeth Caitlin who in turn gave her six wonderful grandchildren, Nathanael, Alicia, Isaiah, Naomi, Benito Jr. and Levi. She married Herman Forstmann, Jr. on June 10, 2005, giving him the family he always wanted and their daughters the father they always wanted. They promised to love, honor, and cherish, happily fulfilling the vow to do so til death did they part.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alicia Babbitt; father, Lawrence Babbitt; brother, Tim Babbitt; special friend, Brian Nefsky; and many other friends and family members. Laurie is survived by husband, Herman; daughters, Tiffany and fiance, William Phelps, Elisabeth and husband, Benito Alejandrez; grandchildren, Nathanael McLaughlin, Alicia Morales, Isaiah Morales, Naomi Valladares, Benito Alejandrez Jr. and Levi Phelps; goddaughter, Barbara “Bobbi” Rodriguez; mother-in-law, Sue Lancaster; stepmother, Carol Babbitt; brother, Mark Babbitt and wife, Kristy and family; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a large loving family of in-laws. “May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest” is the epitaph she always wanted.

Laurie will instead be cremated and by her own wishes an ice cream social will be held in place of a funeral in memory of the beloved wife, mother and grandmother she was. From her oldest grandchild, “Goodnight, Grandmoggen”. As an added tribute from her children and husband, a quote from Finding Nemo – “Today’s the daaaay!
