LaVerne’s Obituary Elsie LaVerne (Farmer) Boatright, age 87, of Brady, Texas passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Bronte, Texas. LaVerne was born November 17, 1931in Fife, Texas to Cyril Farmer and Bernice (Guyton) Farmer. She graduated from Andrews High School in 1949.

She was a graduate of Sul Ross University. She was a school teacher for the Anson Public Schools for several years. In 2010 she moved to Brady to be closer to her son.

She attended the First United Methodist Church in Brady. She was a very creative artist. She was a loving, giving and forgiving lady.

Funeral services for Elsie LaVerne Boatright will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Reverend Bun Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. Friends may view and/or sign LaVerne’s online memorial guest book at www.

leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com. Pallbearers will be Howard Taff, Jake Taff, Ronnie Moore and Sterling Moore. LaVerne Boatright is survived by her son Daryl Boatright of Ft.

Stockton, Texas; daughter Susan Boatright of San Angelo, Texas; daughters-in-law Janet Boatright of Richland Springs, Texas and Karen Polan of San Angelo, Texas; grandchildren Kirk Boatright and wife Jonna of Miles, Texas, J’Lee Boatright of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Haley Boatright of Richland Springs, Texas and Devoni Freeman-Boatright of San Angelo, Texas; great-grandchildren Saige, Sadie, Bailey and Raidyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bennie Farmer, sons Michael Boatright and Randal Boatright and daughters-in-law Edith Boatright and Jan Boatright. Memorial contributions in memory of Elsie LaVerne (Farmer) Boatright may be made to the charity of choice.
