Lela Anne Wiseman (Abercrombie) (McMahan) born Aug. 6th, 1930 passed away Sept. 1, 2018.

Born in Houston, Texas in 1930, Lela married Earl McMahan Jr. in 1950. They had 5 children and moved to Memphis, Tennessee, in 1965. Earl passed away in 1979 and Lela married Jere Wiseman in 1981.

Lela Wiseman’s legacy continues for she is survived by her husband, Jere, and her five children and their spouses: John and Lisa McMahan, Linda McMahan and Ken Cook, James McMahan, Merlynn and Tom Kassing, Carolynn McMahan and Wes Moore. Additionally, her memory survives in the hearts of her 9 grandchildren: Molly Beard, Colleen Canale, Johnny McMahan, Melanie Albers, Jamie Wier, Matt McMahan, Kristin Newman, Stephen Kassing, Andrew Kassing and 10 great grand- children. She is also survived by her sister, Lynn Abercrombie and brother Fr.

Jamie Abercrombie of Houston, TX. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 15th at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL with Father Larkin as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
