Lena Kathryn Lindley Minor Gambrell, 87, formerly of Greenwood, died Friday, February 22, 2019 at Ridge Rehab & Healthcare Center. Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Burklin Lindley and Etta Parnell Lindley White. Lena retired from Monsanto and was formerly employed with Walmart.

She was a member of Mathews United Methodist Church. Surviving are her children, Michael Eugene “Cotton” Minor formerly of Greenwood and Teresa Ann Minor Beckham of Hope Mills; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. She was twice married first to the late James Minor, Jr and then to the late James Gerald Gambrell and was preceded in death by two sons, James Thomas “Tommy” Minor and Jerald Asa “Jerry” Minor; a sister, Elnita Lindley Bowie; and two brothers, Henry Thomas “Sonny” Lindley and Robert Garnet “Bobby” Lindley.

Services will be held at 3 pm on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Sprouse officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 pm.
