Obituary for Leora Easley (Harris) Leora Jean Harris Easley was born at home to John Lavere Harris and Iva Irene Plummer Harris on January 20, 1936, in Burden, Cowley County, Kansas. Leora is survived by brothers Jack Harris and wife Connie, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Bill Harris, Evergreen, Colorado. Leora graduated from Burden High School in 1954.

Leora is survived by her husband of 64 years, Glenn Dean Easley, Jr. Leora and Glenn were married June 13, 1954, at her parents’ home. They moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1956. They were active members of Long Creek Baptist Church in Sunnyvale, Texas, and previous members of Bethany Baptist Church in Dallas.

Leora retired from the Dallas Independent School District in 1996. She had worked in the W. W. Samuell High School cafeteria and the DISD administrative offices. She is survived by two sons, Michael and wife Dorinda, Mt.

Pleasant, Texas; Robert and wife Karen, Rowlett, Texas. Leora was a loving grandmother to three grandsons and two granddaughters; Jonathan Easley, Denver, Colorado; Jordan Easley and wife Natalie, Ft. Worth, Texas; Jarrett Easley and wife Amelia, Celina, Texas; Lauren Easley Stockman and husband Blane, Caddo Mills, Texas; Melissa Easley, Mesquite, Texas.

Leora is survived by 7 great-grandchildren, Landon, Addison, Charlotte, Wyatt, Rylee, Kinley, and Grayson. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018, First Baptist Church, Mt.

Vernon, Texas, at 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Macon Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
