Obituary for LeRoy C. Miller LeRoy Charles Miller – Passed away peacefully at his residence, Thursday, July 19, 2018, following a determined fight against cancer. Age 70 years. He leaves behind his wife of 48 years Lynda K. Miller (nee Cramer).
Two daughters Stephynie L. (Jason McKinney) Miller of Joliet/Seneca and Rebecca A. (Daniel) Himes of Channahon. A son Robert K. (Mary) Miller of Kentucky. He was a devoted and proud PaPa of E3 Meghan M. McKinney, USN of San Diego, CA.
, Misty L. McKinney of Joliet, Emily A., Andrew M, Nicholas J. and Adam C. Himes of Channahon, Cora N. and Logan M. Miller of Coal City. His brother Leonard J. (Shirley Gillory) Miller of Austin, TX. He also leaves to mourn several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Gilbert C. and Dorene V. Miller. LeRoy was born January 23, 1948 to the late Gilbert C. and Dorene V. (nee Quick) Miller of Lockport. Graduate of Lockport Township High School.
LeRoy and Lynda were married on October 10, 1970 in Lockport. Veteran of United States Marine Corps. serving in the Vietnam War.
LeRoy retired from Stepan Chemical Company in 2010 after 37 years. LeRoy and Lynda were members of the Starved Rock Yacht Club and avid Illinois River Boaters. He leaves behind numerous friends in the Illinois River boating community.
LeRoy’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the compassion and assistance received by the Joliet Area Community Hospice during this journey. Memorial services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd. , Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
