Marshall, WI/Sun City, AZ—LeRoy Klecker died peacefully at home Thursday, June 14, 2018. He was born in Marshall on Jan. 10, 1926, the son of Louis and Margaret (Jana) Klecker.

LeRoy graduated from Marshall High School. He married Josephine Krump on June 11, 1955, and they spent 63 wonderful years together. After leaving the family farm, LeRoy started working for the University of Wisconsin-Madison maintenance department.

In the late 1950s, he started working for Badger Furnace Pipe Co. and remained there until it closed. In 1976, some area HVAC dealers encouraged him to start another manufacturing plant to supply their sheet metal needs. In 1977, with the help of some of his closest friends, LeRoy started Badger Diversified Metals, Madison.

He remained owner and president until his death. LeRoy was a lifetime member of St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Marshall. Upon his retirement, LeRoy and Josephine wintered the next 25 years in Sun City, AZ.

One would think he would have had enough of sheet metal, but upon his November returns to Arizona, LeRoy would be monitoring projects in the metal shop at Sun City. He also enjoyed woodworking, and in his earlier years made many items for his house. In his later years, LeRoy had a passion for making grandfather clocks for his family and friends.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Josephine; son, Alan, and two daughters, Brenda (George Josheff) and Cathy, all of Marshall; sister, Margie Peck of Minocqua and brother, Francis (Judy) Klecker of Lake Tomahawk; along with many nieces, nephews, and close family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ervin and Louie; sister, Marie; brother-in law, Wally Peck, and sister-in-law, Hazel Klecker. A Mass of Christian Burial for LeRoy will be at Holy Family Catholic Church (formerly St. Mary) in Marshall, 112 S. Beebe St., at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018, with Father Jorge Miramontes presiding.

A visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 and also from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the church. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit: www. ryanfuneralservice.com Ryan Funeral Home & Cremation Services 2418 N. Sherman Ave.
