Leslie Wojcik, 65, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 16, 2019. He was born in Wola Wadowska, Poland to the late Frank and Emily (Woszczyna) Wojcik. Les was a 1971 graduate of Chicopee High School and he received his associate’s degree in engineering from Springfield Technical Community College.

He was employed as an aerospace engineer for Hamilton Sundstrand for 28 years, retiring in 2018. He was an avid aviation enthusiast, attending many air shows and even flew and owned his own plane. He enjoyed fishing and canoeing and collected antique farm tractors.

Leslie is survived by his beloved wife Veronica Wojcik, his son Scott Wojcik and his wife Lisa, his three grandsons Cayden, Joseph, and Michael of Westfield, MA, his sister Irene Dudek and her husband Lester of West Springfield, MA, brother Robert Wojcik and his wife Sophie of Hamilton, ON, CA, his brother Edward Wojcik and wife Bonnie of Barrington, RI, and three nieces and three nephews. All service are private. Donations in Leslie’s name may be directed to Beacon Hospice, 815 Worcester St. Springfield, MA 01151.
