Obituary for Lillian E. Haldeman (Palmer) Lillian Eleanor Palmer Haldeman, 92 of Schenectady, NY went to be with the Lord, December 26, 2018 after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, whom she met when he was a young engineer on the GE test program. They were married 59 years.

Lillian was born in Schenectady on November 9, 1926 to Charles A. and Margit J. Palmer. She was a graduate of Spencer’s Business School and was employed as a secretary at Clark Witbeck Co, before joining GE. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, active in the young people’s group playing the piano and serving as secretary at the weekly meetings.

She and Bob also worked with Rev. T. E. Koshy organizing many get togethers working with International Friendship Evangelism. In the summers she taught Vacation Bible School.

Lillian enjoyed shopping and finding a bargain. She loved giving gifts and her joy extended to helping others through various charitable projects. Bedbound in her later years, she participated in the prayer chains of two churches.

She is survived by her devoted children, Peggy (Thomas) Watkins, Charlene Campanelli, Paul (Patricia) Haldeman, 3 grandchildren, Michael and Joseph Campanelli and Brooke Haldeman and her devoted cousin James Seaman (Fran). She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Chuck Palmer. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning January 4th at 9 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave.

, Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening January 3rd from 6 to 8 pm. Interment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.
