Lillian Ann Falls Michael, 93, of 108 Circle Drive, Fallston, passed away Thursday October 25, 2018 at home in the loving arms of friends and family. Born on November 25, 1924 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Claude Connally Falls and Laura Lee Cline Falls. Mrs. Michael was a retired educator having taught for thirty-six years at Fallston Elementary School.

She was an active member of Friendship United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Michael… Read More » also served in the Kappa Kappa Iota Omicron Chapter Teacher’s Sorority, American Red Cross, Council on Aging, Cleveland County Hospice, Fallston Women’s Club, The Adventure House, and the local mental health and community council. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-three years, Robert Milton Michael; three brothers, Ralph Falls, Watson Falls and Henry Falls; and sister, Alice Garvin.

Survivors include one daughter, Laura Elizabeth “Beth” Moncure and husband James Ashby Moncure; grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Moncure and James Michael Moncure; sister, Jean Whitener of Birmingham, Alabama and numerous loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 10:00AM until 11:00AM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Friendship United Methodist Church, Fallston. The funeral service will be at 11:00AM Tuesday at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev.

Neal Brower and Dr. Tim Elmore officiating. The burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150, Fallston Elementary School, Memorial Teachers Fund, PO Box 39, Fallston, NC 28042, or to Friendship United Methodist Church , PO Box 219, Fallston, NC 28042.
