OBITUARY Lillian G. Baggs October 9, 1929 – October 14, 2018 Lillian G. Baggs, 89, went to be with her Savior on the evening of October 14, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 17, at 11 o’clock in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev.

Wayne Anthony and Rev. John Irwin will officiate. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 until 11 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to Liberty United Church, 6511 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216 or to the Methodist Children’s Home, 304 Pierce Ave. , Macon, GA 31204, in memory of Lillian G. Baggs.

Lillian was born in Dooling, Georgia, to the late Wilmer Lee, Sr. and Bessie Mae Fowler Gresham. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, and doting “Granny”. She was a former charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Bloomfield United Methodist Church, and a current member of Liberty United Methodist Church.

Lillian served for many years as a teacher and UMW president at her churches. She loved knitting, gardening, and sewing; even making Barbie clothes for her granddaughters. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ralph M. Baggs, Sr., grandsons Nathan Baggs and Brian M. Baggs.

Survivors include her 7 children Jo B. Lane (Gus), Ralph M. Baggs, Jr. (Debbie), Anne B. McGowan, Steve Baggs (Anne), Dick Baggs (Nancy), Ben Baggs (Paige), Angela B. Bishop (Robbie); 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sister, June G. Smith; sisters in law, Lillian Gresham and Roberta Gresham; several nieces and nephews.
