Linda’s Obituary Linda Gale Unger, 70, passed away in Denton, Texas on January 30, 2019. She was born to Homer Buel and Jimmie Frances (Andrews) Sissney in Whitesboro, Texas on January 10, 1949. Linda graduated from Silverton High School in Silverton, Texas and was a member of Southmont Baptist Church.

She married Richard Wayne Unger on August 2, 1969 in Silverton and had two children, Kevin and Amanda. She retired from Denton County after many years as an internal auditor. She is preceded in death by her father, Homer Sissney.

Survivors include her husband of almost 50 years, Richard Unger, son, Kevin Unger, daughter, Amanda Goble, grandson, Hayden Goble, mother, Jimmie Sissney, sisters, Donna Hesters, Pam Ferguson and Dee Daniels, brother, Dale Sissney, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be John Goble, Tim Goetz, Danny Davis and John Cowen. The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Sunday, February 03, 2019 from 1-3:00 P.M. Funeral service will be in the DeBerry Funeral Chapel Monday, February 04, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. with James H. Wicker III officiating.

Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
