Linda Karst, 74, of Falls City, NE, passed away June 19, 2018 at Falls City. She was born December 13, 1943 at Rock Springs, WY to William and Josephine (Butler) Sumpter, Sr She married Leonard Karst on September 18, 1964 at Seneca, KS.

Linda was raised in the Stella, NE area and graduated Reserve High School in 1963. When married the couple established their home in Salem and later moved into Falls City. She was employed at Falls City Creamery, then Midland Villa Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide and also owned and operated “This & That” clothing store at Falls City.

She retired in 2002 due to her health. She attended St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th and Towle) Linda is survived by her husband, Leonard of Falls City, sister, Mary Margaret Duncan and her husband Francis of Hiawatha, KS, grandchildren, Shane and Ryan Karst and Kaitlin Hall, great-grandchildren, Brandon and Kaylor, daughter-in-law, Rita Coonce of Falls City. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Debra Karst, son, Michael Karst and a brother, Russell Sumpter, Jr. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th & Towle St.) with Reverend Andrew Chavanak officiating.

Interment will be in Maple Cemetery at Salem. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
