Linda’s Obituary Church Services for Linda Sue (Williamson) Ashley, 70, of Matador, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Roaring Springs Full Gospel with Pastor Chad Lawrence officiating and Bro. Chuck Harrison assisting. Interment will follow at Roaring Springs Cemetery under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Ashley passed from this life on January 1, 2019 in Matador. Linda was born on May 20, 1948 in Hereford, Tx to Clinton Ray Williamson and Doris Ruth (Meredith) Williamson.

She married the love of her life, Roger Carl Ashley, on June 6, 1964 in Roaring Springs. From this union they had six children; Lisa, Sheldon, Cory, Jarod, Kimberly, and Rhonda. Linda was a pastor’s wife and a homemaker.

She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and always wanted to make sure their needs were met before her own. Her love for the Lord could be seen and felt. She was a very selfless, spirit filled woman that will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Lisa Rose of Matador, Sheldon Ashley and wife Keisha of Matador, Cory Ashley of Plainview, Jarod Ashley of Plainview, Kimberly Richards of Matador, and Rhonda Slate of Matador; a grandson; Jubal Ashley that lived with her, her siblings; Ray Williamson and wife Peggy, Harold Dean Williamson and wife Laqua, Pam Evans and husband Norman, step-brothers; David Paul Williamson, and Adam Williamson and wife Stacy; seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; Roger Ashley, her parents; Clinton Ray Williamson and Doris Ruth Thames, and her son-in-law; Kenny Rose.
