Lisa Gay Carter Obituary Photo

In loving memory of Lisa Gay Carter (34), who passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2018 at University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Our dear sweet daughter, sister, aunt, and friend Lisa Gay was born on March 24, 1984 in Payson, UT to her loving parents Hal Eugene and Gay Maughan Carter. She is the third of six children with two sisters and three brothers.

Though born in Utah, she lived much of her childhood in Minnesota. She spent many days running around the neighborhood with her siblings, sledding in the cold winters, and fishing on the lakes in the humid summers. Returning to Utah in her teen years, she spent time with her extended family and loved them all very much.

She later graduated from Spanish Fork High School and attended Snow College. Lisa was a selfless woman with a heart of gold. She was always willing to help anyone who needed it.

She was a hard-worker in every job she had. She was quick-witted and loved to crack jokes, and that never stopped, even when she was ill in the hospital. Though stubborn at time, Lisa was strong, independent, loving, and dependable.

Her smile was beautiful. She is deeply loved by so many and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her parents, Hal E (Debra) Carter of North Carolina, Gay Dean (David) Okelberry of Mona, her grandparents Boyd and Janet Carter, grandfather Russell Maughan, her five siblings: Greg (Talena) Carter, Sheri (Eric) Kimlinger, Kyle (Cassie) Carter, Stacy (Michael) Mickelson, Michael Carter, and many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Golda Joyce Shell Maughan. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Friday May 11, 2018 at the Mona 1st Ward. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, UT, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
