Obituary for Marion Rosel Andersen Marion Rosel Andersen, passed away on April 28th 2018 at the age of 71. He was born January 9th 1947 in Nyssa, Oregon, to Rosel Griffin Andersen and Della Lois Mitchell. He married his high school sweetheart, Joy Christine Searle, and was sealed May 6th 1968 in the Logan Temple.

Marion was a lifetime Northern Utah resident and a lifetime student of science. He Attended Weber High School, Weber State University, BYU and the University of Utah with degrees in Microbiology and Chemistry. He was a published medical author, research scientist, and patented inventor.

He was veteran of the US Navy serving on the USS Mispillion (AO-105) during the Vietnam conflict and was honorably discharged in 1968. He loved his work with all its worldly travels and immersion into many different cultures. His greatest joys were the activities and accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his spouse, Joy Andersen. Children, Bonnie (Mark) Brower, Scott (Yvette) Andersen, Kathie (Mark) Stimpson, Gary (Bobbie) Andersen, and David (Betsy) Andersen. 17 grand children and 6 great grandchildren.

By siblings Cheryl Barton, Allen Andersen, Susan Smith, Evan Andersen, Kristine Sherman. Preceded in Death by his Parents. Funeral Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Pleasant View LDS 9th Ward 250 W. Elberta North Ogden, UT, with a viewing for family and friend from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the church.
