Bennettsville Ms. Lois Virginia Polson passed away, Thursday, May 9, 2019 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after an illness. She was 80 years old. Ms. Polson was born in Bennettsville on March 25, 1939 to the late Leon and Ancie Dell Perkins Polson.

She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, bingo, playing cards, and looking out for the other residents at Dundee Manor, where she served as the Resident President. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; sons, Mike Polson (Judith) of Anderson, SC, Randy Polson (Mary) of Cheraw, SC, and Joey Bullock of Bennettsville; brother, Russell Polson (Wendy) of Bennettsville; sister, Sarah Garrett (Tommy) of Hartsville, SC; grandchildren, Sarah Gaddy Williamson, John Gaddy, Shaina Thompson, Devin Polson, Tammy Jo Harp, and Chelsea Bullock; 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; sisters, Edna Jost and Barbara Jones; brother, Bobby Polson.

A memorial service will be held 1 pm Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Burroughs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately after the service and from 4-6 pm at the home of Randy Polson, 125 McKiver Street, Cheraw, SC 29520. Memorials are suggested to Christ United Methodist Church C/O Ladies Ministry, PO Box 75, Bennettsville, SC 29512.
