Obituary of Lois Tilley Lois Jean Palmer Tilley, affectionately known as “Cheech”, 87, of Latrobe, passed away peacefully on Monday December 3, 2018 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. She was born June 16, 1931 in Youngstown, PA to the late M.J. “Deke” and Doris Palmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Ronald Tilley, and two brothers, Arnold and Jerry Palmer.

She is survived by her daughters: Kit (Jim) Arbogast, Christy (John) Mavrakis, and Cheryl Simet and their families, her sister Sandy (Vincent) Sarni, and a number of nieces and nephews. Lois Jean was a devoted Wife, Mom, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend to everyone. During her illustrious life, she worked for the government in numerous positions for over twenty years.

Lois Jean was a member of the Latrobe Presbyterian Church and also served as Chief Coordinator for the Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation for more than five years. She was as comfortable speaking to Presidents as she was with the neighbor next door. “Cheech” was one of God’s angels here on earth, and now she is with Him, reunited with loved ones and bringing smiles to all in Heaven.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 am in Unity Chapel, 130 Chapel Lane, Latrobe, PA with her pastor, the Rev. Clark R. Kerr officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve at St. Vincent College through the Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation (www.

arniesarmy.org/donate) (direct all donations to the Nature Reserve), or the Latrobe Presbyterian Church at 428 Main Street, Latrobe, PA 15650 (www. latrobepc.org ). The Hartman-Graziano Funeral Hoe, Inc. in Latrobe has been entrusted with arrangements.
