Rose’s Obituary Rose D. (Rolniak) Yourish, 91, of Latrobe, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Concordia of Fox Chapel. Born September 3, 1927 in Hecla, she was a daughter of the late Stanislaw Rolniak and Rozalia (Kustron) Rolniak. Rose was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Latrobe, and its Rosary Altar Christian Mothers.

For many years, she volunteered at the Parish Lenten fish fry’s and volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul store in Latrobe. She was a devout Catholic and a tremendous fan of Mother Angelica. In her younger years, she loved traveling with her family, outdoor activities, and camping.

She and her husband, Ed, developed an interest in metal-detecting which took them to many interesting places. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Yourish; three brothers, John, Stanley, and Walter Rolniak; and three sisters, Anne Petroff Howard, Mary Olszyk, and Vickie Vance. Rose is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Grego, and her husband Sam, of Indiana Township; two sons, Richard Yourish, and his wife Rosie, of Yorktown, VA and James Yourish, and his wife Beth, of Virginia Beach, VA; three grandchildren, Stephanie Lowe, and her husband Matt, Nicholas Grego, and his wife Jessica, and Derek Grego; four great-grandchildren, Kylie, Maddi, Harper, and Phaedra; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM Thursday at the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. Members of the St. John Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary at 1:30 PM Thursday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 AM Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church with the Rev.
