Obituary for Loraine Alisa Banister Loraine A Banister December 13, 1946 – October 7th 2018 Loraine A Banister was born December 13, 1946 in Star City, Arkansas to the late Charlie Banister and Rosie Lee Larkins. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Polk Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Yorktown, Arkansas. Loraine graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri and was employed at General Hospital, She later moved to Oakland, California and continued to work in the medical field as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.

She joined People Missionary Baptist Church she was an active member and also served on the Usher board for many years. Loraine later moved back to Kansas City, Missouri to take care of her sick mother, she joined the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Levi Wheeler Sr. Loraine was employed by Crown Care Center in Harrisonville, MO as a Med-Tech from which she retired when her health starting failing her. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her only son Charles E. Banister of Kansas City, MO, two daughters Debra A. Banister,{Jervis Tyson}; and Alisa L. Isom James {Johnny James} of Oakland, CA; four grandchildren Otis Thomas, Jahne Hunter, Sckiya Banister, Gaheim Banister; three great-grandchildren Ameleah Thomas, Jada Thomas and Naeveh Thomas.

She also leaves three sisters Reola Taylor {Anton Taylor} of Kansas City, MO, Alice L Mitchem, and Lavonne Rogers of Little Rock, Arkansas, half-brothers & sisters: George Banister, Cleophas Banister, Pearlie Maeof Chicago, IL; Emma Banister, Terrie Banister, Kenneth Banister,Pamela Banister of Pine Bluff, Arkansas ; Donald Banister of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Gloria Jackson of Little Rock , Arkansas; Ora Shavers of Chicago , IL; one sister-in-law Grace Drumgoole of Midlothian, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
