Obituary for Loretta “Sharon” (Harris) Hudkins Loretta “Sharon” (Harris) Hudkins, 74, of Sutton, WV gained her wings on December 11, 2018, with her family by her side at home, after battling Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinsons. She was born on December 1, 1944 at High Knob, WV to the late Karl Dexter & Angelia Mae (Gregory) Harris. Sharon was a 1963 graduate of Sutton High School, a faithful Christian and devoted wife, mother, mamaw, sister, aunt and friend.

Sharon was a homemaker, a caregiver and a blessing to those that knew her. She had a beautiful, loving, kind soul. When welcoming family and friends to her home, she always offered a cup of coffee to them.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, entertaining and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed making people laugh, listening to and singing with music, especially Elvis. She loved camping, biking, walking, birdwatching, sitting on a porch swing and exploring nature, searching for rocks and pointing out special things that she would wonder upon while outdoors.

She encouraged those around her to enjoy the little things that God had created for us and to never lose our sense of appreciation and wonder for them. Surviving are six daughters; Lisa (Keith) Brown, Lori (Melvin) Showalter, Christy Lynn (Jeff) Hatmaker, Libby (David) McQuain, Lindsey Hudkins (Nathan Harrison) and Leslie (Shane) Tomblin, all of Sutton, WV and son, Timothy (Walkeria) Hudkins of Wilsie, WV. Also surviving are grandchildren; Bryan and Logan Brown, Dusty Hudkins, Cameron Showalter, Tristan and Benton Hatmaker, Zack and Zoey McQuain and great-grandchildren; Mason Brown, Bryson and Layton Moats.
