She engaged in a gallant battle with dignity and grace against a Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor. Lori was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Berlinesville, Pennsylvania.

Lori was active in church, acting as a eucharistic minister and provided the sacred host of Jesus to those unable to attend Mass. Her faith was important and provided a foundation from which to live. Lori was the wife of Rick Molchany for nearly 40 years.

She was a mother of two and grandmother of three. She was the oldest daughter of Terry and Madeline (Haney) Leibenguth of Whitehall. Lori was the ultimate caregiver.

Never one to pass up an opportunity to help, she was a team mother to many Whitehall High School athletes and club participants over the years, her goal was to provide local youth with positive memories. She volunteered and supported many local non-profits, especially contributing to fight cancer, reduce heart disease and provide compassionate friends-serving family members who lost loved ones. Always the caregiver, Lori chose a career in nursing, and as a Registered Nurse was able to provide comfort to many patients over her 37-year career.

Not one to ever let a “bell go unanswered” she would make it her goal to support patients and their families during times of pain and suffering. She was recognized by her administration and peers at Lehigh Valley Health Network, winning the prestigious “Friends of Nursing” award. Her compassionate, yet modest approach to caring will be remembered by her co-workers on the hospital floor and at Guardian Life Insurance where she was a respected and thorough medical claim reviewer.

Lori was a talented crafter, sewer and quilter, loved to cook and bake, but she will always be most remembered for her friendship. She took being a friend to heart. Lori provided an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry upon, and advice to assist friends over the years.

Lori lived by a golden friendship rule that required her to be trustworthy, non-judgmental, honest, dependable, caring, and compassionate. Those selfless attributes are what made her the best friend, mother and wife anyone can have. She will be missed by many.

Lori’s impact will live on in minds and hearts of so many for so long. Live your life to the fullest, keep your faith, be kind to others, and have patience until you meet her again. God Bless you all.

Survived by: husband, parents, daughter Ashley Elizabeth Hobel, wife of Carl Joseph, granddaughter Wilhelmina Ryan, grandsons Jude Wilder and Remington Grey. She was predeceased by her son, Ryan Richard Molchany. The passing of Ryan created a hole in her heart and that was filled by her family; especially watching the grandchildren play.

Each day she watched them sing a little, dance a little, laugh a little, and love a little. They are a blessing from God. Also survived by: sisters Lisa Stengel (Jackson) and Tracy Schmidt (Joseph), Father and Mother in law, Richard and Helen (Nemeth) Molchany, sisters in law Kathy Minnich (Jack) and Lori Cassium (William) along with nieces Karlie, Megan, Courtney and nephews Kyle, Mathew and Jake.

Services will be 11am Thursday January 24, 2019 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main Street, Whitehall, PA 18052 with Monsignors Thomas Derzack and Daniel Yenushosky officiating. Her visitation will be at 9:30am in the Church. Internment will follow the Mass at Egypt Cemetery.
