Lorraine A. Gregory, 88, of Harbor Springs died January 16, 2019 at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility. Lorraine was born on June 13, 1930 at home in Bliss, Michigan, the daughter of Clare and Blanche (Hubble) Keiser. She was raised in a family of seven and graduated from Pellston High School in 1948.

She married William D. Cassidy and had two children. He preceded her in death in 1975. On October 13, 1978, she married Donald Gregory in Brutus, Michigan.

They made their home together in Harbor Springs. Lorraine was a loving wife, a great mother and she spoiled her grandchildren as much as possible. She enjoyed home decorating and was known for being the best wallpaper hanger around.

She was talented in sewing and would often make curtains for friends and dresses and clothing for her family. She was a wonderful cook and was best known for her famous baked beans. Lorraine was asked to bring a pan of baked beans to every wedding, party or family function.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Don Gregory of Harbor Springs; daughter, Nancy (Jerry) Kilpatrick of Levering; step-daughter, Pattie (Francisco) Chang of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Shane, Theresa, Tonya, Katrina, Jonathan, Julia, Gerry, Nicholas, Joseph, Matthew and Kristopher; many great grandchildren; and siblings, Barbara Diermier and Bernard Keiser. She is preceded in death by her first husband, William Cassidy; son, Tom Cassidy; step-son, Gerry Gregory; and siblings, Lyle Keiser, Marjorie LaFrance, Dorothy Ingram and Raymond “Bud” Keiser. For those wishing to make a charitable donation in memory of Lorraine, please consider Meals on Wheels or the Activity Department for the Music Fund at Bay Bluffs Care Facility.

For the past two and a half years, Lorraine has resided at Bay Bluffs Care Facility, and her family would like to send a sincere thank you to the wonderful and caring staff for making her stay with them feel like home. There will be a funeral service at Stutsmanville Chapel on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Reverend Ryp Hankins will officiate.
