Obituary of Lorraine Emslie Lorraine J. Emslie, 80 of Wappingers Falls, NY went to her eternal rest on Sunday, April 22, 2018 after a long illness. Lorraine was born on February 20, 1938 to the late John Sommers and Josephine Litt in Kitchener, Ontario. She married the love of her life, William M. Emslie, in Kitchener, Ontario on April 18, 1964.

He predeceased her on June 12, 2016. A 54 year local resident, Lorraine was employed with the NYS Bridge Authority as a Sr. Toll Collector at the Newburgh Beacon Bridge until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Mid-Hudson FNRA and Riverview Home Makers.

Lorraine enjoyed Scrabble and Pinochle as well as making teddy bears, for which she was well known, and porcelain dolls. Lorraine is survived by her sons Robert Scott and wife Jacqueline Emslie of Poughkeepsie, NY, Todd Emslie and wife Kristine Bargo of Pleasant Valley, NY, her beloved granddaughter Alexandra Emslie of Pleasant Valley, NY, sister Shirley and husband Cliff Kinzie of Kitchener, Ontario and nephew Christian and wife Krissy Kinzie. Calling hours will be on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
