Louia Gene Haigler, 87, of Midland, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018. Mr. Haigler was born March 5, 1931 to the late Charlie McKee and Sarah Catherine Smith Haigler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Lila Faulkenberry; and brother, Donnie Haigler.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 am, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland, officiated by Rev. Russell McWhorter and Pastor Woody Meadows.

Burial will follow at the Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery located at 3606 Drake Road, Midland, NC. Survivors include: wife, Shirley Louise Haigler; daughter, Mechelle Haigler; granddaughter, Kassy Haigler, brothers, Leroy (Madeline) Haigler, Roger (Cathy) Haigler, Mitchell (Della) Haigler, Randy Haigler; sisters, Lillian (Donald) Lisk, Shirley Brown, Polly Hunter, Betty (Chester) Shaver, Carol (George) Pinsak, Kathy Tucker. Memorial may be made to Wayside Baptist Church, 3606 Drake Road, Midland.
