Obituary for Louis Magnotti Louis Magnotti, 77, of Old Bridge, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Born and raised in Rosebank, Staten Island on October 6, 1940 to Anna and Alphonse Magnotti. As a young man he worked along side family at Magnotti’s Bakery and Magnotti’s Restaurant.

Later after over five years servicing as one of New York’s finest, Louis found his calling as a FDNY firefighter for over 25 years first in Manhattan and then in Stapleton, Staten Island for Engine 153/Ladder 77. Louis was a true all around sportman, with a true passion for golf. He was a remarkable artist and had a passion for cooking especially Italian cuisine and pizza.

He immensely enjoyed spending time and entertaining his loving wife and family. He once wrote: “My children and my grandchildren make me feel so proud. It has become a beautiful family and if it’s possible – I love them even more than they love me”.

Louis is survived by his wife, Ann Magnotti and his devoted brother, Alan Magnotti. He was extremely loving and proud of his children Lori, Michael (Christine), and Kristina Civile (James) and his two grandchildren Daniella Civile and Angelina Magnotti. He was a beloved stepfather to Kelly Anne Hadden, Kathy Commune, Billy Nipper, and Michelle Nipper.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday from 2-5 & 7-9PM at the Michael Hegarty and John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service 3377 US Highway 9 Old Bridge. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday beginning at 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home. Committal services will be private.
