Obituary for Stephen Modica Stephen Modica, age 78 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Born Saturday, November 30, 1940 in Manhattan, New York to the late Louis and Helen Modica (nee Rock). Stephen was raised in Brooklyn, NY.

He would go on to graduate Abraham Lincoln High School. Stephen served his country Honorably in the National Guard. He would go on to graduate from Queens College.

In 1967 Stephen would marry the love of his life the former Kathleen Libasci. Together they moved to Old Bridge. Before retiring, Stephen worked as an accountant for Atrion Communications in Branchburg.

Stephen was an all around nature lover, he enjoyed fishing, walking, hiking, and gardening. He had a love for Beagles. Stephen will be missed by all those that were blessed to have had him in their lives.

Stephen is survived by his wife Kathleen, by his loving children, Stephen Scott Modica, and Peter Brian Modica, by his cherished grandchildren, Brittany Anne, and Nicholas Adam, and by his loving sister Helen Modica. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday at St Ambrose Church located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Following mass, interment will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick NJ.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, August 10, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
