Obituary for Neil Altvater Neil Altvater, 62 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Born Sunday, April 22, 1956 in Irvington, New Jersey, Neil was the son of the late Milton and Annetta Altvater. Neil was raised in Clark, NJ.

He would graduate from Arthur L Johnson High School. Neil obtained his college degree from Thomas Edison College. Neil would meet the love of his life Denise and the two would marry.

They would move to Old Bridge in 1985 and that is where they raised their family. Neil was self employed working in Inventory Systems Management, he was the owner of G3 Business Solutions. Neil was a scout leader in his son’s Boy Scout Troop.

He enjoyed anything that had to do with nature, and taking photos. Neil was a hiker and would hike Mt. Washington on 3 occasions.

Neil enjoyed spending early mornings walking the beaches of Sandy Hook and marveled at the many sun rises he saw. He enjoyed spending time in the garden at his home. Most of all Neil loved being with his family, he will be missed by all those that loved him.

Neil is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Denise, by his loving children, a son, Nicholas and his wife Abira, and a daughter, Deanna Altvater, by his caring siblings, Annette Dunn and her husband Thomas, and Marion Hunter. Neil was predeceased by his parents Milton and Annetta Altvater and by his brother Roger Altvater. The family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a Memorial Service to begin at 3:30 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
