Wagener – Ms. Lucille Savannah King Williams, 90, died peacefully Friday morning, May 25, 2018 and went to be with the Lord. Ms. Lucille, was the wife of the late Lewis B. “L.B.” Williams Sr., mother of Lewis B. Williams, Jr., Tom A. (Claudette) Williams, David M. Williams, and the late Susan L. Williams. She was the grandmother of Lewis “Lew” (Pamela) Williams, III, MSGT, USAF, Retired, Wesley E. Williams, Melinda Williams, Victoria (Seth) Robertson, Tommy A. Williams, Jr., Davina W. (Michael) Truitt, Marci W. (Derek) Rhodes, and Erika L. Williams.

She was the great grandmother of Phoebe Robertson, Isabelle Robertson, Javin Williams, Emily Williams, Colton Truitt, Cooper Truitt, Adalynn Williams, and Weldon Rhodes and Leia Savannah Truitt to be born near Ms. Lucille’s birthday in August. Ms. Lucille was the sister of Hazel Cooper, Alyeen Rigdon, Vivian Collins, the late Jim King, Guy King Jr., and the late Virginia Hutto. She was the daughter of the late Edna Carrie Ott King and Guymon Luther King.

The family expresses their grateful appreciation to Catherine Garvin, Twanda Nesbitt, Schandiline Poole, Jean Thurmon, DeAndra Miles, Alice Seawright, Wanda Brown, Daysja Stroman, Patricia Williams, and Laquanda Dunbar all of “I Care 4 U LLC” for the loving care they provided to their mom/mema. Ms. Lucille was a member of First Baptist Church of Wagener, a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star, Ackerman Chapter 198, and retired from Wagener Manufacturing. Ms. Lucille was a member of Lower Central Savannah River Chapter of the WWII POWs.

Ms. Lucille loved watermelon and fried fish. She loved the outdoors, planting/watering her flowers and garden, cooking/baking, and spending time with her family. Ms. Lucille was well known for her ole time petunias, pound cakes, rum cakes, and red velvet cakes.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 27th from 5 to 7 pm in the Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel. A service celebrating the life of Ms. Lucille will be 11 am Tuesday, May 29th at First Baptist Church Wagener with burial in Wagener Cemetery.
