Pelion – Mrs. Lucy C. Trenka, 92, former New Milford, Connecticut resident, entered into her heavenly home Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. She was the widow of John P. Trenka.

Mrs. Trenka was born April 2, 1926 in Jersey City, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Helen Szelagowski. She graduated from Ferris High School in Jersey City in 1944. She moved to New Milford in 1945 until she moved with her son Thomas to Middlefield, Connecticut in 1994.

She then moved with her son Thomas to South Carolina 1996. Mrs. Trenka was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford. She is survived by her son Thomas M. Trenka of Pelion, SC, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son John J. Trenka and her sisters Jean Zolnouski and Harrett Kuleszynski. Services are being planned for Friday at Center Cemetery in New Milford, Conn.
