Obituary for Lucille Pearl Hill RICHMOND, Ind. – Lucille Pearl Hill, age 93, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at her home. Born August 1, 1925, in Rock Castle County, Kentucky, to Henry Sanford and Lottie “Bessie” French Coffey, Lucille moved to this community in 1948.

She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky State Teachers College and took part in continuing studies at Earlham College. Lucille retired from Nettle Creek Industries after 18 years of service and formerly taught at Rock Castle Schools for five years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Richmond and had served on the Nettle Creek Credit Union Board of Directors.

Lucille enjoyed needle point, sewing, gardening, reading, teaching, and attending family and friend gatherings. Survivors include her daughters, Janice Woolems of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Marcia (Rich) Dietsch of Fishers, Indiana; son, Randall (Trudy) Hill of Richmond; daughter-in-law, Kim Hill of Goshen, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy) White, Sarah Thalls, Catherine (Ian) Roberts, Brad Woolems, Ashley Woolems, Andrea (Joe) Neary, and Jessica (Caleb) Claypool; great-grandchildren, Brittney and Matthew White, Josh and Jake Thalls, Anthony, Grant, Garrett, and Alec Roberts, and Quinton Neary; step-grandchildren, Jordan and Kirk Kiefer and Shannon and Shane Fletcher; step-great-grandchild, Harper Buchinsky; brother, Glen Coffey of Mount Vernon; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Hobert J. Hill, who died June 14, 2017; son, James Hill; great-grandson, Tyler White; parents; sisters, Lucy T. Coffey, Hester Proctor, Hazel Shelton, Irene McNew, and Lavene Powell; and brothers, John and William Coffey.

Visitation for Lucille Pearl Hill will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Hodgkin officiating.
