Obituary for Lucy Burns Austin Lucy Burns Austin, 85, of Denton passed away at on November 23, 2018 in Easton, Maryland. She was born on November 18, 1933 to the late Willard Emmett Burns and Effie Helena Jones in Grasonville, Maryland. She formerly worked for Grasonville Sewing Factory, as a waitress in Peggy’s Diner in Queenstown, Helen’s Country Kitchen in Centreville, manufacturing plant sleeves in Centreville and as a homemaker.

Mrs. Austin loved yard sales and bowled with the Easton Bowling League, grew beautiful flower mounds and potted plants and was an avid scrap booker who made one for each grandchild and great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Austin is preceded in death by her husband William Harry Austin; brothers Jimmy Burns and Herbert Burns as well as sisters Yvonne Cook and Elanore Burns. She is survived by son Carl Nelson Austin of Chincoteague, Virginia; daughters Joanne (Bob) Brady of Hockessin, Delaware, Victoria (Ruben) Sanchez of Easton, Dallas (Ricky) Ross of Ridgely, Kim (Ashby) Smith of Denton, Sandy (Matt) Gibson of Centreville, Karen Lee (Paul) Hopper); sisters Pat Borden of Clarksville, TN and Linda Burch of Morgantown, West Virginia as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Lakeview Fellowship Church of God in Grasonville on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 12:00 with the family receiving friends and visitors two hours prior.
