Luke Mitchell Jackson, 44 of North East, MD, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton on May 3, 1974. Luke retired from Chrysler Automotive Manufacturing.

A die hard Redskins fan, he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his Dad, Grandpaw and friends. Luke was a goofball who loved to party and make everyone laugh. The joys of his life were his 3 grandchildren and he loved spoiling them.

He is survived by his wife: Laura Jackson; 4 children: Brianna M. Jackson, Kelsea J. Wadkins, Kara L. Jackson and Shemar F. Jackson all of Elkton, MD; the mother of his children: Julie Jackson; a stepson: C.J. Hodgson of Newark, DE; his mother and stepfather: Karen (Cann) and Mark Gilbert of North East, MD; 2 brothers: Matthew and Mark Jackson; maternal grandmother, Nancy Cann of NJ; paternal grandparents, Jerry & Dorothy Jackson of Milford, DE and Amos & Mary Mullins of Elkton, MD; 3 grandchildren: Julianna, Kha’Mari, Amara; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins Luke was preceded in death by his father: Jerry Mitchell Jackson, Jr.; his maternal grandfather: James Cann, Sr.; a stepbrother: Joseph Gilbert; and a nephew: Mattie Jackson. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 3:00 pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions to the funeral home.
