Obituary for Lydia M. Gervason Lydia M. Gervason, 96, of North Olmsted, passed away June 17, 2018. She was born in Czechslovakai, the daughter of the late Daniel and Stefania (nee Goretcha) Marsalko. Lydia was the beloved wife of Louis, who predeceased her on March 8, 2011; loving mother of Craig, Gayle (Robert Strung, MD) Strung, Marjorie (Gary) Edwards, Daniel and Bruce (Mary) Gervason; cherished grandmother of Eric (Caitlin), Melissa (Edward), Daniel (deceased), Laura (Benjamin), Janelle, Christopher, Jonathan, Tracey, Tamara (John II), Christopher (deceased) and Ashley and great-grandmother of Alexander, Matthew, Zachary, Jaydin, Greyson, Robert, John III, Nora, Lucy and Claire; dear sister of the late William (Rita) and Margaret Marsalko; adored aunt of many.

Lydia moved to America with her family in 1924 at the age of 2 and became a naturalized citizen in 1931. She was part of the Rosie the Riveter movement during WWII. She married Louis at the age of 27 and dedicated her following years to caring for her family.

She was talented at playing the piano and singing. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing on roller skates and to this day had a wonderful sense of humor. She was devoted to her family and created many fond memories with all of them.

Visitation Friday, June 22, 2018 from 12PM-2PM at the Sunset Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. , North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Friday at 2PM. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
