Lyla LaVonne McCurdy, 83, daughter of Orvin & Bessie (Gilmore) Woody, was born August 16, 1934 in Lincoln Township, Dallas County, Iowa. She passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She graduated from Panora High School in 1951.

After graduation, she lived in Des Moines and worked as a secretary for a downtown business.
