Obituary for Lyndon A. Mink APPLETON – Lyndon A. Mink, 89, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Togus VA Hospice with his family at his side, after, in Linnie’s words, ‘it’s winding down’. Born April 4, 1929 and raised in Appleton, he was the son of Ivan and Irene Johnson Mink. A lifelong resident of Appleton until after his retirement, Linnie then became a winter resident of Royal Palm Beach, Florida for 30 years.
He graduated from Union High School, class of 1947. After enlisting in the US Air Force, Linnie served his country during the Korean War. He married Marion Starrett in Warren, December 31, 1952.
A true entrepreneur, Linnie did everything from farming, flipping houses (before it was popular) and land development. Linnie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marion of Appleton and Florida; his children, Carol Mink Anderson and her husband Michael of Raymond, Maine and Hilton Head, SC, Karen Mink Hicks and her husband Greg of Tuscaloosa, AL, Lyndon Brian Mink of Montoursville, PA; Laurie Lee Mink Woodhead and her husband Jon of Canton; eight grandchildren, Matthew Lyndon Anderson, Thomas Loyd Anderson, Jeremy Gregory Hicks, Kimberley Yvonne Hicks Respinto, Brittney Lynn Mink Eiklor, Brian Andrew Mink, Jonathan Alvin Barrett, Lauretta Marion Melody Woodhead and great-granddaughter, Adeline Ramone Respinto, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, August 2nd, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Appleton.
