Obituary for David Boland Jr. ROCKLAND – David P Boland, Jr. 43, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, September 16, 2018. David was born on September 10, 1975 in Rockland Maine and graduated in 1994 from Rockland District High School. While in high school he was a member of the football team and served as co-captain his senior year.

Following high school he spent two years in the U.S. Army. Upon coming home David worked in the food service industry and was presently employed at Rock Harbor Brewery in Rockland. He had a passion for fishing, spending time with family and friends, and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.

David had such a big heart and could enter a room and brighten it with his smile, his attitude and just by being himself. He would do anything for anyone. Dave loved his dogs as if they were his family and is survived by his parents, David Boland, Sr. and Linda and Escorsio Boland of Bar Harbor; his sister Sheridy Olson and husband Mike and two nephews, Nate and Lucus Olson of Otter Creek; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held on from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Burpee, Carpenter, and Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at Achorn Cemetery in Rockland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County, P.O. Box 1294, Rockland, Maine 04841.
