Obituary for Cornelia D. Ostheimer ROCKPORT, MAINE – Cornelia Duffy Ostheimer, 84, died peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2018, surrounded by her family at the Sussman Hospice House in Rockport. Born in Worcester MA on September 24, 1933, she was the daughter of Ralph Edward Duffy and Emily Walker Duffy. Cornelia attended the Bancroft School, Dana Hall School and graduated from Smith College in 1955.

Cornelia loved her friends and family. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jim Ostheimer; her four children – Emily Jones and her husband BJ of Mooresville NC; Martha Ostheimer of Tucson AZ; Tom Ostheimer and his wife Ronna of Williamstown MA; and Sarah Trapani and her husband Carl of Rockport ME. Cornelia cherished her eight grandchildren and was proud of all that her children and grandchildren have accomplished.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sussman House for their loving care and compassion during our Mom’s/Cornelia’s final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cornelia’s memory to First Congregational Church, U.C.C., 55 Elm St. Camden ME 04843 or Rockport Public Library, PO Box 8 Rockport ME 04856.
