Madeline M. Parola Springer 101 of Hillsboro passed away Jan 5, 2019 at Hillsboro Area Hospital. She was born Feb 18, 1917 in Nokomis IL to James and Maddalena (Davito) Parola. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in 1935; she was a retail sales clerk at Sears for over 40 years and was an Avon sales representative.

She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro. She was devoted to her church, her family and the Chicago Cubs. She married Carl H. Springer (a decorated WWII veteran) in 1946 and he preceded her on March 2, 1994.

She is survived by two sons Greg wife Junice Springer and Denny wife Donna Springer both of Hillsboro, grandchildren Gabe Springer of Hillsboro, Jake (Jessi) Springer of Litchfield, Geoff (Nancy) Springer Wesley Chapel FL, Allison (Nick) Schey of Barrington IL and Job (Lali) Springer of Studio City CA. , great grandchildren Brockton Springer, Bryce Springer, Dominic Springer, Sophia Springer, Maddalena Schey, Matilda Springer and Bruno Springer and one sister Emma Vlasich of Gillespie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl and one brother Frank Parola in 2012.

Visitation will be Tuesday Jan 8, 2019 at Hough & Sons funeral Home in Hillsboro from 5-7 PM. Funeral mass will be Wednesday Jan 9, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Fr.

Dan Willenborg officiating. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials can be directed to St. Agnes Catholic church.
