Mrs. Madge Byrd February 16, 1930 – January 27, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card SERVICES: Tuesday, January 29, 2019 Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Leakesville 11:00 a.m. INTERMENT: Pleasant Hill Cemetery VISITATION: Monday, January 28, 2019 Jones and Son Funeral Home 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Leakesville for Mrs. Madge Olean Byrd, age 88, of Leakesville who passed from this life January 27, 2019. Bro. Paul Walters will officiate with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Duell Byrd, Tim Mazzocchi, Mark Holder, Alex Byrd, McCain Byrd and Scott Sowell. Mrs. Byrd was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Byrd; son, Royce Byrd; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Sharbor (Ellen) Byrd of McLain and Richard Byrd of Meridian; granddaughters, Shelly (Tim) Mazzocchi of Pleasant Hill, Amy (Daryl) Bates of Waynesboro, Johuna (Ronnie) Quinn of FL and Lacey (Chris) Walley of Richton; grandsons, Chris Byrd of Richton, Duell (Jessica) Byrd of Beaumont and Alex Byrd of Meridian; sister, Elaine Pyus of FL; half-sister, Doris Irwin of FL; 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great- grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
