Mae’s Obituary Mae Laura McCord, 64, went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on June 11, 1954, in Hartwell, Georgia to Chester Carter and Virginia Hill Carter. She was preceded in death by her father, and brothers, Chester O. Carter, Johnny L. Carter and Terry Carter.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy McCord; mother, Virginia Carter; mother-in-law, Carrie Montfort; children, Scottie McCord (Lisa), Kathy McCord Miller (Gene), Kenetrica McCord (Michael Rodriguez); brother, Billy Carter; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Castle Ridge Mortuary. A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 11:15 a.m., followed by interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
