Harvey Merle Robinson USMC (ret. ), 69, of Summerville, husband of Rita J. Robinson, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Summerville Medical Center. Harvey was born on March 7, 1949 in Woodland, CA, son of the late Harlan and Margaret Robinson.

He graduated Oregon High School in 1967. He joined the US Marine Corps and retired as a Major after 27 years and then went on to work for Charleston County Public Works for 9 years. He enjoyed doing woodwork.

Survivors including his wife Rita are: one daughter: Carrie Joy Pridgen (Alex) of Charleston; grandchildren: Carson Pridgen, Cameron Pridgen and Madison Pridgen all of Charleston; one sister: Audra Smith of Pennsylvania; step mother: Jean Robinson; two step sisters and one step brother. He was predeceased by four sisters: Debra Parker, Lenora Latham, Kimbra Osborn, and Sandra Young. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Duke Medical Center, MUSC, Summerville Medical Center and Palmetto Primary Care Physicians in Summerville.
