Manuel H. Almeida, 93, passed away on November 2nd 2018 surrounded by family. Manuel was born on August 9th, 1925 in Mamarosa Portugal. He came to the Untied States and married Emily Rodrigues in August of 1951.

He enjoyed his life as a prominent business man and was an influential member of the community. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and making wine with his family and friends. Manuel was also a member of the San Pablo Salesian boys club.

We will always remember his stories. When he used to fish he had many encounters with sharks, sea lions and large fish. He loved fishing with his wife, Cila.

They always made the best team while fishing. Hunting was his favorite sport to do with his sons- Frank and George. They have many memories together in the duck blind.

He loved hunting because he spent it with his family. Manuel was the most humble man. He inspired so many and was so loved.

His family and friends were his life. He will be deeply missed. Manuel has two sons Frank and George Almeida.

In 1980 his wife Emily passed away. In 1981 Manuel visited Brazil and met Lucillia Pires. They returned to the US and were married in San Pablo, Ca.

He is survived by his wife Lucilla Almeida, his two sons Frank and George Almeida. along with six grand children and four great grandchildren. Manuel Almeida’s rosary will be located at OAK PARK HILLS CHAPEL in Walnut Creek Tuesday evening November 6th at 7:00PM.

His service will be held at Christ the King Church in Pleasant Hill on Wednesday, November 7th at 10am.
