Obituary for Manuel Rene Dye Mr. Manuel Rene Dye, age 52, of the Moccasin Valley section of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away Sunday (February 3, 2019) in a Norton, Virginia hospital. Born August 12, 1966 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of Shirley Mae Hale Dye of Honaker and the late Rundle Lee Dye. He had formerly been employed as a carpenter in the northern Virginia area, where he had made his home for thirty years before returning to southwest Virginia.

He had a love for the outdoors, and enjoyed rock climbing and hiking. He was a very talented woodworker and carpenter. In addition to his mother survivors include his brother and best friend, Mitchell Lee Dye of Lebanon; aunts and uncles, Harley and Barbara Dye of Honaker, Tommy and Eula Dye of Tazewell, and Mildred Sue and Ancil Helton of Manassas; cousins, Connie and Mike Looney, Jr. and their sons, Austin and the late Brandon Looney, Teresa and Dennis Goodman, and her son, Christopher (Chelsey) Hess and Steve and Teresa Dye and their son, Andrew, and David and Ann Helton and their children, Vanassa, Sabrina and Abby Helton, Tammy, Kenneth Dye and Jennifer Brown and their children; special friends, Cecil and Glenda Hess.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jeff Kinder officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.

Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday. Online condolences may be made at www.
