OBITUARY Marc Anthony Dimaggio March 27, 1956 – September 16, 2018 Marc Anthony DiMaggio, age 62, lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish, passed on Sunday, September 16, 2018 after a tough battle with cancer. He went peacefully to the Lord surrounded by his wife and children at their family home. He will be dearly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Barbara Carman DiMaggio.

He is also survived by his children: his son and daughter-in law Marc and Cyndee DiMaggio and his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Charles Seibert. Their daughter, Carman Seibert, is Marc and Barbara’s only grandchild. Carman was a pure joy to him.

Marc’s surviving siblings are Kathy Kilpatrick (John), Joe DiMaggio (Shelly), David DiMaggio (Nancy), and the late Maria DiMaggio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marc was a true craftsman with an impeccable work ethic, a master plumber and a long-standing member of the PLUMBERS’ AND STEAMFITTERS’ LOCAL 60 union.

To work beside him was a thing of beauty. Anyone who knew Marc will never forget his generosity and his infectious comedy. Those lucky enough to have received one of his famous “gifts of love” know it best, and if you were one of them, you “got your issue”.

He was known to “speak in parables,” and his comical sayings will be fondly remembered. He always said, “Every body gets a turn”. He is getting his in heaven above.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2320 PARIS ROAD, CHALMETTE LOUISIANA , 70043 on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10 AM, followed by a mass in his honor at 1 PM. He will be laid to rest in Cypress Grove Cemetery.
